(not a shed its an ANNEXE!!!) the habitat is going where the flags are...
we went down to stubbins mill for some FREE logs and pallets to put in it.

next up, we dug up some soil and put a trusty tub halfway in and filled it with water, ive got some old turf from the front garden to go around it, the sawdust you can see around it, is grass seed, once its germinated, ill add the turf currently living as a heap in the front gordon... i chose an orange tub, so if anything lives in it, i can see it... ive put some pebbles in it for now, i can get some bigger ones and enuff to line the bottom next time we visit the family in barrow-in-furness furball the fat, seems to like drinking from it.....![]()
the 2nd pallet is the right way around, so a big gap is inside, the breeze blocks are there to protect the inside from the weather.
the bamboo canes are shortened and fastened in with some old plumbing pipes i cut down into small pieces, i figure spiders can get in and out and bees apparently leave eggs in the bamboo canes?
next up.... the logs i got from the mill, they have a bit of moss on some of them, almost broke my finger cutting them down to size, i then soaked em so they are damp... ive no idea why, thought it might attract insects to them????

thats as far as weve got at the mo due to rain... we still have 3 more pallets to squeeze in and to find things that help grow plants and should provide shelter from the rain for the stuff underneath, maybe some turf, maybe some creeper plants, maybe even some sweetpeas so we get peapods as well..... furball an tilly are chillin out in front of the annexe....
ill post more as it grows.... want to build your own habitat, then click here for a guide!
