Exactly what is going on with washing powder manufacturers?

Example 1: Persil non bio
I regularly keep an eye on the catering packs at the c&c, the 70 wash boxes contain 7kg of powder.
So when Asda started a promotion, for a 70 wash box of the same product, imagine my alarm when I got home and compared the two, both 70 wash packs, yet both did not contain the same amount of powder!

Catering 70 wash pack had 7kg of powder
Asda promotional 70 wash pack had only 6.3kg of powder
Which one is correct?

Example 2: Aerial extreme
Once again at the c&c, two boxes of identical powder.
One box states "84 washes" contains 6.8kg of powder
Box two states "90 washes" yet it contains 10kg of powder!
Which one is correct?

Stop ripping the public off!

Further evidence seen today at the cash & carry, of how the proverbial water is "muddied" to confuse the consumer:
Three different brands of washing powder on sale, all "90 wash" boxes:

Persil (Bio and Non bio): 90 wash box at £13.89 - containing 8.55KG of powder
Daz automatic: 90 wash box at £10.79 - containing 6.8KG of powder
Arial automatic: 90 wash box at £12.79 - containing 7.5KG of powder

How are we the consumers, supposed to tell them apart and make an informed decision, when the manufacturers keep changing what constitutes a "90 wash" pack?

Quote
I use both your persil Bio and non bio washing powder.
How much weight in powder would be the correct amount of powder to complete 90 washes?

I would send Unilever this question about their Persil product, but the persil website www.persil.com will not accept the question via their "feedback" form!

A supermarket is now advertising on television, regarding "80 wash" boxes of Daz.

In the small print on the advert, it states that the box contains, "6.45kg of powder"

How does this make up an 80 wash box, when previous "80 wash" boxes of Daz, purchased from a cash and carry for resale this year, have contained 8kg of powder?
